Perendev – Perpetual Energy Device – Free Energy??

The Perendev, originally coined from the phrase “perpetual energy device,” but later changed to the more politically correct, “permanent energy device”.

A magnetic motor (or magnet motor) is a device which converts power of or relating to or caused by magnetism (e.g., “magnetic forces”) into mechanical force and motion, with no other input. It usually provides rotary mechanical motion. The machines that utilizes the properties of a magnet for mechanical energy.

Have you ever seen a magnet motor in operation? By “magnet motor”, I mean a motor in which magnets are the only driving force. Maybe its via magnets repelling magnets, or attracting, or both; and the result is continuous rotation.

Four of twenty New Energy Congress members who responded to an anonymous poll this past week said they had. One out of every five — twenty percent — of those who answered the poll have personally seen a magnet motor in operation. I wasn’t one of them.

Conventional physics says that it is “impossible” for magnets to provide a primary energy source. Yet thousands of researchers worldwide have been pursuing the task of building a working magnet motor. Many claim to have achieved this objective. Most of those are quiet about their accomplishment. None have reached the marketplace.

Science tends to lag behind inventors who don’t know what is or is not possible, revising their laws to fit the new observations. If magnet motors really are possible, scientists will no doubt figure out where the energy is coming from, whether it is from the Zero Point, or from some new principle of magnetism hitherto not appreciated.

The Steorn “Orbo” is allegedly one such motor, which was supposed to have been debuted for the world to see on July 4, 2007, but it ran into problems, and instead the world saw a gizmo not running. (Ref.)

Meanwhile, millions have seen a video of what appears to be a running magnet motor — the Perendev, originally coined from the phrase “perpetual energy device,” but later changed to the more politically correct, “permanent energy device”. (Ref.1, ref.2, ref.3)

Myself (left) with Mike Brady, assembling his Perendev magnet motor.

I happen to have been involved in that motor. I helped assemble it in Johannesburg in December of 2002 when it came from the machine shop, but we couldn’t get it to run during the week that we were there. The video was produced a couple of months later by the inventor, Mike Brady; and I was given permission to publish it in Aug. 2004 prior to a German television debut that was supposed to take place but which never materialized. (Ref.)

We had our mechanical engineer associate, Douglas K. Furr build a 1/4-scale replica of the Perendev design, with Brady’s permission, but were not able to get it running. For some reason, often when people see a video that has been posted of that motor, they think it is a functioning device, even though the video shows me spinning and stopping the shaft with my hand, and I state that we’ve not been able to get it to run on its own. I guess their thinking it is a functioning magnet motor is due to a wishful thinking syndrome or something.

In all this time, I’ve heard of a lot of claims to working magnet motors, some of which seem credible, but I’ve never personally witnessed one running.

I’ve also surrounded myself with a lot of experienced people in the field who are open minded but who require proof. I founded the New Energy Congress a couple of years ago in order to review the various exotic clean energy technology claims and then rank them according to a set of the criteria including renewable, affordable, credible, and safe. We compile these in a Top 100 Clean Energy Technologies listing.

Then a couple of weeks ago, when I was consulting John Dunlap, an entrepreneur who wanted to advance magnet motor technology, I was embarrassed when I couldn’t answer whether or not any of the approximate forty NEC members had personally witnessed a magnet motor running. I could answer for myself, but I couldn’t answer for them.

So on Sept. 19, I wrote to the NEC: “Have any of you members of the NEC seen a magnet motor in operation in person? “By ‘magnet motor’ I’m referring to motors that run only on magnets, with no other motive force. A separate question would be whether you were able to confirm that the magnets were not diminishing in gauss in the process of providing rotational power, but my present primary question is more broad, relating to a magnet-only-powered motor.

“It seems like maybe one or two of you have witness one in person, but I can’t recall who or what. I’ve heard of some 20 – 25 different claims to working magnet motors that seemed possibly credible, but have never seen one in person.”My second question would be, if you have seen one in operation, would you be willing to go on record as having done so?”Since it is possible that if you have seen one, you are under NDA not to disclose that, I’ve created an anonymous poll”

The wording of the poll was simple:

“Have you seen a magnet motor in operation in person? ‘Magnet motor’ = a motor that run only on magnets, with no other motive force.”

Two members of the congress came forward in the private NEC forum to discuss their experiences.

One said that he had not yet confirmed that the magnets were not diminishing over time, and that he was under NDA from giving any details, but that he was very encouraged by what he had seen. Formerly, he was among the skeptics who did not think that such a motor could be built.

The 20% affirmative response by the NEC members is not representative of the public at large, inasmuch as the NEC is composed of people who pursue exotic energy technology.

A follow-up poll has been prepared for the general public (posted above). I’ve also created a poll (Sept. 29 – Oct. 12) for the fe_updates newsletter group who received my email notices of the daily FreeEnergyNews.com news items. That group is more likely to have results resembling those of the NEC, than of the public in general. Also, the general poll above is not going to be a true reflection of the general populace inasmuch as people who come to this news page in the first place are likely to be an unusual set to begin with.

I also plan to follow this NEC poll up with additional polls of the NEC about some of the other exotic technologies we cover, such as electromagnetic overunity, electrolysis overunity, gravity wheels, and cold fusion.

Though such such polls are not the same as a scientifically sound validation using calibrated measurement tools, video documentation, and other data collection, it does help increase the hope factor for these technologies that science rebuffs — as they did human flight, among other things they said were “impossible.”

Are Magniwork and Magnets4Energy promoting a scam?

Are Magniwork and Magnets4Energy promoting a scam? Are Magnetic Motors a scam? Are Over Unity generators a scam? Are Zero Point Motors a scam? Are Perpetual Motion Machines a scam?

Let me help you. If I were promoting perpetual motion, over unity and something-for-nothing, that would be a scam. There is no way you can get something for nothing. You can gather or convert energy from an existing force, however. There is a part of the world population always looking for something-for-nothing and when they find something that looks like something-for-nothing they jump on it. Because this population views this science as something-for-nothing it does not mean the science is claiming something-for-nothing.

Let me give you a few examples. A solar panel gathers energy for free. The source is the sun. The solar panel and sun will not do this forever. It is not perpetual. For your life span the solar panel is capable of “producing” (gathering) energy for your entire life. Does it make a difference to you that it is not perpetual? Interesting lesson on perspective.

When people thought the earth was flat, it took a sailor trying to circumnavigate the globe to prove it round. After that, perspective changed, not the truth. This happens all the time. Science does not change only the interpretation.

Magnets opposite poles attract. Move a strong magnet towards another’s opposite pole and they will snap together. What is the force that moved them? Is this force perpetual? Can this force be used over and over again to do work? Before we in the scientific world fully understand magnetism, we will make false calms about it because we do not have a choice. We just don’t know better. It’s a mystery and it is human nature to apply reason, even though the reason may be faulty. False claims should not prevent us from using magnetism’s force for work. Wouldn’t you agree?

Magniwork and Magnets4Energy are not promoting perpetual motion in my opinion. They have implemented instructions or guides to build a scientific experiment in magnetism.

Search the Internet for these terms: Zero Point Energy, Magnetic Zero Point Energy, Magnet Generator, Perpetual Motion Machine, and Over Unity Motors. You will find all the related material and know that this magnetic motor design has been around for over 25 years. Because the implemented design will “produce” (gather) power from a seemingly absent force, it looks like something-for-nothing; but is it really?

It is a challenge to accept a magnetic motor will produce its own power, yet search the internet for its various key phrases and you will find hundreds of homemade videos of experiments that demonstrate a working motor / generator without applied power. Why do these work? Is it possible that you can convert magnetism into a energy producing generator?

The working examples say yes.

What role magnetic motors will play in the future is uncertain but this we do know, an individual with curiosity and some handyman skills can build one and see for his or her self in less than a week. The two guides mentioned in this article are readily available for low cost and the materials will cost between $100 – $200.

I do believe the Magniwork customer lack of satisfaction warrants a non recommendation while Magnets4Energy is a successful hobby project to experiment in magnetic generators. More…

Free Electricity is Available to You Today; Never Pay Your Power Company Again

Free energy is all around us.

Thanks to the sun, energy hits the earth every day. The reason you pay for energy is, it costs to collect and deliver this energy. The power companies don’t make energy. They collect it or convert it and then deliver it. What if you could collect and convert your own energy? Wouldn’t that be free energy? Wouldn’t the delivery cost be zero? What would it take to be real? Read on.

Energy Sources

  • Numerous types of energy like sunlight (solar = UV and Infrared), wind, wave, bio-mass, geothermal, fire and countless other labels identify the various forms of energy. Fortunately, energy recovery techniques are becoming less costly and more available to the homeowners.
  • The solar industry is in high growth right now. Solar cell cost is dropping every day as solar cell production increases.
  • Windmills have been around for hundreds of years and are again becoming more popular. Many farms still use windmills to pump water. Why not electricity? Certain locations around the globe have reliable wind, like the entire ocean coastlines and valleys near mountain ranges. Wind farms are new but will take time. Wind farm power distribution grids need to be rebuilt so that their power can go to non-windy places.
  • Bio-mass is a questionable power source as growing bio-material has its own pollution and takes away farmland from food production.
  • Geo-thermal is very popular in certain location like Iceland for obvious reasons. For most of us geothermal will help heat our homes.
  • All these forms of energy have natural limitations and delivery cost for power companies. Finally, a source of energy that does not come from the sun but is a matter of physics is magnetism. More later.

Homemade Energy

Homemade energy’s first cost saving is no delivery cost. Capital investment, installation and maintenance cost; however, remain. Those homeowners that have purchased solar panel installation in the pasted for $20,000 or much more have a 25-year payback. That is, the energy savings pay for the installation cost and begins paying the homeowner after 25 years. Wind and geothermal also have substantial payback periods. What if you build and install an energy system yourself. Realize that today, there are kits and guides that show you how. The cost of materials and your time would be your investment and that usually works out to be 1/10 the cost of commercial installation.

Homemade Solar Panel more…

Homemade solar panels build by homeowner’s range from 75 watts (about $98) to 175 watts per panel. By chaining panels together solar panel system can achieve 1000+ watts of power. The basic unit of the solar panel is the solar cell and you need to purchase that. Many distributors of solar cells are selling solar cell kits for $40 to $100 depending on the size of your panel and the grade of the solar cell. Grade A solar cells are top of the line and produce up to 3.5 amps at .5 volts that works out to be 1.75 watts. A kit of 100 solar cells will build a 175 watts panel. Grade B cells have minor imperfection and sell for 80% – 90% of grade A. Grade C are damaged, like corner chips, but functional and cost about 50% that of Grade A. The rest of the panel construction is plywood, glass, solder, usually one rectifier and RTV sealant. Construction time per panel is 1 to 2 days.

Homemade Wind Turbine Generator more…

Homemade wind generators (from $140) consist of blades, a motor / generator, swivel mount with wind vain and a tower. All the materials are available at the hardware store or auto junkyard. The hart of the wind generator is the motor / generator. All motors can be used as generators. You only need to rotate the shaft. The ideal generator will produces 18+ volts at about 300 revolutions per minute (rpm). This is the speed most wind turbines will rotate at in a 10-mile per hour wind.  Shaft speed is important. Car alternators and generators are possible candidates. Special motors available on eBay can produce a lot of voltage at low rpm. These special motors will produce up to 48 volts and 450 watts of power in a 20 mile per hour wind. Blades can be purchased or manufactured form 6 inch plastic drain pipe. The blade must be near perfect to work well. The tower can be a simple pole with guide wire support or elaborate like an antenna tower. Construction time is about 1 week.

Homemade Solar Hot Water more…

This is the simplest and yet the most effective (about $50) solution to energy. By preheating your hot water with a homemade solar heater box you can save up to 30% of your energy cost. Hot water is the most expensive energy system in the house after Heating / Air Conditioning). This solar hot water box system consists of a plywood, glass, plastic pipe and sealant. By gathering the infrared sun rays like a green house you can heat water to over 120 degrees even in winter. This is sufficient to shut down your hot water heater. When hot water demand is high, like early morning and washing clothes, the hot water heater will need to run normally. The rest of the day, water is heated in the solar box and stored overnight in the hot water heater. The construction time is about 1 day.

Homemade Solar Air Heaters more…

These are simple devices that heat a room from a material you have around the house or garage for about $30. Put the heater in a sun facing window and it will capture the heat like a greenhouse. Then either with a blower or convection it will heat the room. Temperatures can be over 140 degrees fahrenheit. With this heater you can shut down the home thermostat and save a lot of power consumption. This is a great way to heat out buildings like a chicken coupe, workshop, or storage shed.

Homemade Magnetic Generator more…

This is the newest source of energy and politically charged. Many economies are based on oil and coal that could be threatened by large-scale free energy. What is special about magnet energy it does not need the sun or wind or other natural forces. Therefore; it runs 24/7 all day and night, day after day. It is not interrupted by nature and is more effective than other homemade energy sources by a factor of 2 or 3 times. Its operation is a matter of physics. Prototype systems have been available since the 1990′s. Recently, since 2007, several efforts to commercialize this technology have been started and it could take decades to become popular among nations. As a result, a few homemade energy guides feature this magnetic power technology. By carefully choosing materials and placing magnets in the right relationship with coils, you get a generator. The materials are simple aluminum, cooper, plastic, mica, magnet wire, and magnets. All these are available at the hardware stores, Radio Shack or the Internet. Construction time is about one week. Common household tools are all you need. Building more than one of these generators, in conjunction with deep cycle storage batteries and a power inverter, can power your entire home.

This is Important ~

If you seriously want free energy at home and you are willing to build a device yourself to save cost, you need a guide.

These new guides have all the development worked out and offer step by step instruction. This will save you both time and money. Usually you can be operational in less than a week.
